David Smart walks the Camino for Fortalice!

My Story
On Friday 19th May – I make my way to the beginning of the Camino de Santiago (Frances) in St Jean de Pied du Port, a small community village at the base of the Pyrenees Mountains. On Saturday morning 20th May - my journey officially begins, walking up hill, all day! – and then I will cover a total of five hundred miles all the way across northern Spain to Santiago. Visiting many mountain villages along the way, and numerous vine yards, Rioja specifically!
My pilgrimage will end on June 26th – with the Pilgrims mass in the Cathedral on the 27th, then return home. In whole a total of six weeks!
Follow my Youtube channel @DavidSmartWalksCamino to see my experiences walking across Spain – which should be really interesting!! Please do subscribe to it, as I will posting daily videos!
I would like us all to support Fortalice (Bolton) – domestic abuse charity who offers refuge accommodation for mainly women and young children who have suffered abuse. They also offer various community services for all victims. With my expedition and our generosity, Fortalice will continue to serve our community with dignity and care.
In the year 2021-2022 Fortalice helped over 2,200 individuals in the Bolton community who were experiencing or affected by domestic abuse. They deliver frontline services in the community working with GMP police, local GPs and schools. Education and training is a key part of their service. They offer refuge accomodation and safe housing for victims and their families.
Funding is extremely difficult with added pressures such as the cost of living. Lets help continue their vital services keeping victims safe.
Please give generously all donations no matter how big or small together will make a difference.
